Bill Clinton goes on tirade against pro-life students

A pro-life group says former President Bill Clinton's angry tirade against some pro-life students during a speech in Stuebenville, Ohio, proves once again that he wants to frame the debate and will not acknowledge that abortion takes the life of an unborn child.

A video of an angry Bill Clinton (see video here) has surfaced on YouTube. When challenged on the issue of abortion, Clinton launched into an angry tirade in which he accused pro-lifers of trying to "criminalize women and their doctors."
"If you were really pro-life, you would want to put every doctor and every mother as an accessory to murder in prison," the former president said, addressing pro-lifers in the crowd. "And you won't say you want to do that because you know you wouldn't have a lick of political support," he added.
Michael Hichborn with American Life League says Clinton is just bringing up an old tired argument and trying to frame the debate.
"The fact remains that we in the pro-life movement aren't so focused on what's criminal, what's illegal, and what kind of incarceration procedures we want to enact on people," explains Hichborn. "It's all about saving babies. It's all about the fact that abortion is murder. You are killing an innocent person whenever you commit an abortion. And so he's just trying to reframe the argument, which is the only reason he would say that."
Clinton also claimed that he reduced abortion in America during his presidency. "You can't name me anybody presently in politics who did more to introduce policies that reduced the number of real abortions ...," he stated.
