CASE DISMISSED
A HEART FELT THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO PRAYED!! THE LORD ANSWERED! pm
Armed with prayer and faith in God, the saints of Spirit One Christians Center
stood with their Pastor Mark Holick at the gates of Wichita City Hall.
We are pleased to report those gates were lifted up and the King of Glory and all Justice
marched in. Pastor Mark Holick and his church was vindicated in his righteous stand
and was exonerated by the court itself.
As you may recall in June of this year, Pastor Mark and 30 of his congregation went to the
"gay pride" event in Wichita. They went to lift up the name of Jesus and to proclaim
God's Word to those enslaved by homosexual lust. As Pastor Mark was arriving and
beginning to set up he was approached by two Sergeants of the Wichita police department.
He and all his members were ordered under the threat of arrest to move. According the the
WPD, they could not be in the public park, on the public sidewalk next to the park, or the
public sidewalk across the street. The Christians that day, simply because they were
Christians, were moved to the back of the bus, sort of speak, and regulated to the parking
lot across the street.
Pastor Mark then attempted to inquire as to why the Christians could not exercise their
First Amendment rights like every other American citizen. At which time, he was arrested in
3 minutes and 15 seconds (possibly a new record for OSA ministries). He was immediately
cuffed and hauled off to jail.
In court today, however, It quickly became apparent that the prosecution and court
were not prepared for this case nor for the church who came in
support of their pastor. The judge and the prosecuting attorney's scrambled to put a good
face on a bad situation. They knew the WPD was wrong and they simply did not want
this injustice to go to trial.
As a result, they asked for a copy of the video that proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that
Pastor Mark and his congregation were legally on a public side walk. After viewing the tape,
the prosecuting attorney's called in Pastor Mark to give him the good news, "dismissed without
prejudice."
The church in the lobby courtroom upon hearing this verdict erupted with praise to Almighty God.
In this case, there was no separation of church and state at Wichita City Hall. To God be all the glory.
NOTE: Several news outlets have asked the City Attorney to respond to why the charges
were dropped. As of this writing, there has been no response. I wonder why? Pastor Mark
